FAQ What is the relationship between Prairie Tech and New Horizons? New Horizons has partnered with Prairie Tech to bring their 1,700 computer courses to West Central Illinois. New Horizons is the largest software training company in the world and a Microsoft Gold Partner.
New Horizons is certified by the Illinois State Board of Education which requires the facility, the teachers, and each curriculum to be certified if it can be considered vocational training.
What is the normal tuition for a New Horizons Class for an individual? Tuition varies depending on type of course and the number of students in the class. Classes average $225 for an all day class. Please contact New Horizons for more information on pricing.
Are there discounts for groups from New Horizons? Yes, dedicated classes for a group can be offered for a discounted rate. Please contact New Horizons if you are interested in training for a group.
Do you offer scholarships? Prairie Tech currently does not offer scholarships.
Are there student loans available for New Horizons Classes? Yes, Students can apply for Sallie Mae student loans for New Horizons Courses.
What else does Prairie Tech offer?
 Prairie Tech also offers educational seminars and workshops throughout the year. These events will be priced depending upon overhead, instructor fees, materials etc but will be kept as affordable as possible. Check the schedule for upcoming seminars, workshops, and events.
Prairie Tech also hosts a 4-H Technology club for the Henderson, Mercer, Warren area for youths in 7 to 12 grades.
Does Prairie Tech have a walk-in lab? No, currently Prairie Tech does not have a walk-in lab. Prairie Tech is in the planning stages of creating a lab space, but no opening date has been established for that part of the facility.
Where do I park? The parking on the public square is for 2 hours. If you attend an event longer than 2 hours there is ample parking in lots and on the streets surrounding the square. See "location" for a map of parking around the public square.
